Bookkeeping that you don’t have to project manage

An Ecosystemic Approach to bookkeeping that ebbs and flows with your business.

Instead of endlessly having to follow up with your current bookkeeper, experiencing unclear and inconsistent systems, or periods where nothing gets done, Honestly Bookkeeping’s ongoing services holds the container for your bookkeeping with consistency, clarity, and dynamics.

Because your business is a living, breathing entity that grows and changes.

So why are you working with bookkeepers who view their work as a static task?

All packages are custom build to fit your exact business needs. To receive accurate pricing we must go through the proposal process. However, some general guidelines are below. If your business revenue is:

Under $250k - our fees average over 4%, or we focus on non-monthly services that meet your operational needs (we’re creative and know how to find the right balance)

$250k to $2.5M - our fees average 1% to 3% depending on scope and complexity

$2.5M to $5M - our fees average 0.5% to 1.5% depending on scope and complexity

Over $5M - our fees average under 1% depending on scope and complexity

There's a real cost to shitty bookkeeping

It costs you increased tax liability, penalties & fees, and steals your focus, time, and mental bandwidth away from the things only you can do.

The accounting industry is opaque; you don't know specifically why your bookkeeping feels off, but it does. It can look like:

  • Double-counted revenue or missing expenses (increasing tax liability).

  • Bookkeepers that go MIA on you (potential missed deadlines and incurred penalties & fees).

  • An open loop of something not being good enough in your business (stealing mental bandwidth).

  • A weight on your shoulders that picks at your attention and focus (stealing mental bandwidth).

  • Bookkeeping that used to work but didn’t grow with you (all of the above).

Bookkeeping is the start, not the end

You can’t make solid financial decisions, do meaningful analysis, or understand the story of your bookkeeping, operations, and mindset (because they’re all connected), if your bookkeeping isn’t accurate, specific, and consistent.

If you want to move into CFO level support, give reports to a banker to buy a house, get a business loan to expand, or report accurately to the IRS, your bookkeeping must be accurate, specific, and consistent. Otherwise, you’re spending time and money for expensive gibberish.

What it’s like working with Honestly Bookkeeping during a typical month.

Its one less thing I have to worry about by having Morgaine and her team maintaining my books. I also feel like I have a partner in business to ping ideas off of and get answers from when I don’t know or understand something. I didn’t expect to find that support but I did!
